Quinoa

14 cup dried quinoa = one serving. Use twice as much liquid (water, stock, etc.) as dried quinoa. To make stock with stock paste, add 1 teaspoon of paste for every cup of water.

Savory Quinoa

Approx. 4 servings
  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water + 2 teaspoon vegetable stock base
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 12 Tablespoon olive oil
Rinse quinoa in a sieve with cold water. Place all ingredients in a (the largest of the 3) saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Simmer until liquid is almost completely absorbed, about 12-18 minutes. When just a little liquid remains, cover and turn off heat. Let stand for 5 minutes or up to 30 minutes before serving.
